MGA has put this very fine sticky tape on the cardboard display to reinforce the door of the display. (This needs to be removed anyways to open the display). The tape is so fine and during the travel can get caught and removed or squashed up, so some have it and others dont. We have never opened one up, but from what we can tell the Gold Latch is enough to keep the display shut. So some will come with the fine tape and others wont. . That fine tape can remove small amounts of the gold paint (not sure why MGA used this tape) due to this we will not allow any returns for very minor paint (please see pictures in this listing)
